The journey To the Throne & the Return of Christ!

There have been three milestones of the great journey that began with the movement out of Egypt led by Moses that will culminate with the return of Jesus. These milestones were each marked by God with the Feasts of God over three time periods: In the first month of the Biblical calendar was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Passover Feast, and the Feast of Firstfruits. Fifty days later the Feast of Pentecost was to be held. In the 7th month the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement ending with the Feast of Tabernacles were held, taking place over a two-week period.

These feasts were all Divinely ordered appointments with God on the course of the journey, where His people were called to come before Him to stand in His Presence. The prophetic fulfillment of the feasts completed so far have been marked by holy invasions from heaven. For example: at the establishment of the Passover, God the Father came down with great signs and wonders to mark and initiate the journey of His people to the Promised Land. He told Moses, I have heard the cry of the people and am come down!

When the Passover Feast was fulfilled at the Cross, heaven again invaded earth, the Son of God came down performing great signs and wonders as Immanuel, God with us. At the fulfillment of Pentecost, God the Holy Spirit came down and was poured out. Great signs, wonders and miracles were performed the disciples, and the Angelic Armies. This can lead us to only one conclusion, that at the future fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles, initiated at the Feast of trumpets, God will again come down in the greatest invasion of earth yet seen, with awesome signs and wonders in the earth and the heavens. The Son will return, and the Holy Spirit will flood the earth with Glory.

There is a great importance and significance of this last great feast yet to be fulfilled. This is the feast that will complete the great journey of the Presence of God with His people, that first began with the Passover out of Egypt and will culminate in Jerusalem. John 7:2-4; is an interesting and curious passage that helps us to understand the magnitude of what is yet to come at the fulfilment of the Feast of Tabernacles!  It states:

“Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.  His brothers therefore said to Him, ‘Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that you are doing.  For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly.  If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”

In this passage, Jesus’ brothers who did not believe in Him were baiting Him. However, they do ask him a very profound and legitimate question, that if He wanted to be known openly why was He doing things in secret?   Jesus answers them in v. 8 and says:  You go up to this feast.  I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come.”

Why would Jesus say it was not yet time to go up to this feast, and that His time had not yet fully come?  What time is He talking about?  The Scriptures do tell us that there is a time for every season and purpose under heaven. Jesus then does a very curious thing; He goes up to the feast anyway and preaches openly in the temple. We might assume that Jesus is referring to His time to be crucified, but His crucifixion was not related to the Feast of Tabernacles.

Firstly, the word time is the Greek word kairos and means: the appointed time—and the word fully is pleroo which means in fullness, complete and finish. Another key phrase used twice in this verse is the phrase ‘not yet’ indicating that there would come an appointed time for Jesus to go up to this feast. Jesus knew that His time to be crucified would be during the Passover Feast.  His statement that His time to go up to the Feast of Tabernacles had not yet “fully” come, and by His unusual actions, Jesus is acting out for us a prophetic parable that reaches far beyond that day into the fullness and completeness of time in the last day.

Jesus is saying to us prophetically that His time to go up to this particular Feast would be in the appointed time of fullness when all will be finished and completed in Christ! He is giving us a prophetic glimpse into the mystery surrounding the Feast of Tabernacles when everything will be summed up in Him and revealed in fullness. Jesus’ actions reveal the magnitude of what is yet to come as we will continue to show in this passage of scripture!  Verse 10 and 14 of this same passage illustrates Jesus’ very curious movements:

“…but when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but in secret.”

“Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught.”

Jesus is acting out a prophetic parable that reaches far beyond the circumstances of that day into the fullness and completeness of time. Let us examine His movements. 1) First, He said He was not going to the Feast of Tabernacles, 2) then He went in secret, 3) then around the middle of the feast He stood up and preached in the temple. However, the prophetic culmination of His mysterious words and actions took place on the last and great day of the feast, when He cried out a very loaded and weighty statement in verse 38:

“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”

Jesus was prophetically revealing three major events that were to come, to ultimately impact all humanity: First, He refers to His glorification through the Cross at the Passover Feast. Second, the outpouring of the Spirit that was to take place at Pentecost. Third, the Outpouring of the Spirit re-released in fullness and completed at the Feast of Tabernacles. With further examination of this profound prophetic statement, we see that by choosing the last great day of the last feast to be fulfilled, it’s as if Jesus is standing prophetically on the last day of the completion of a set time in history.

Jesus is looking forward in time and prophesying of the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was not only to begin on the day of Pentecost but would be completed or re-released in an awe-inspiring outpouring at the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be at the time of fullness and completeness when the rivers of living water will flow in its fullness to flood the earth. Jesus chose to prophesy on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles of the beginning of the release of the Holy Spirit to take place at the Feast of Pentecost— prophetically linking these two feasts—the beginning and the completion of a mysterious work of the Lord that culminates in the gathering into the Kingdom of a harvest of a great multitude of souls.

Jesus told His brothers that His time had not yet come to go up! He then prophesies of the set time when He would go up to the Feast of Tabernacles at the fulfilment of all things on the last day! Jesus’ statements transcend that time into our day, upon whom the end of the ages have come (1 Cor. 10:11). The Holy Spirit is coming once again in an outpouring of Glory in the kairos time before Jesus returns. He is coming like rain; He is coming with fresh oil and new wine. He is coming in power to take over, and through His people, to prepare the way of the Lord. The Lord is coming to empower His people to gather in the Harvest and invite everyone we can find to the Wedding.

THE KING RETURNS

We are the generation that will see the wonders of God! Manifestations of His Glory will become the norm. Mass healings will take place in preparation for the march into the Promised Land of Christ Each major stage or milestone in the construction and building of God’s temple, (represented by each feast), was accompanied by great signs and wonders as the armies of heaven invaded earth. A massive invasion by heaven and the power of God marked the 2 major times of crossover by the people of God. From Egypt to the promised land of Israel – Passover. Crossover into the spiritual promised land of Christ at Pentecost. The crossover at the completion of all things at the Feast of Tabernacles, will be marked by a great invasion of earth by the angelic hosts, with great signs in the heavens and earth. Heaven is now mobilizing for a monumental and extensive invasion of earth and the Body of Christ, as we now prepare to crossover into the Promised Land of the reign of Christ our King on earth.

In Micah 7:16-18 God declared: “As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them my wonders….” They shall be afraid of the Lord our God and shall fear because of you.”

We are now being shifted into the season of the costly new wine—Its name, If I perish, I perish. It is time to transition to maturity from the Jesus of salvation, revealed in Passover to the Jesus of Glory revealed in Tabernacles—from being saved to being seated on the Throne!

At the time of the fulfilment the Feast of Tabernacles, we will again see the release of God’s power, but this time as never before in history. The long great journey of His-story is now nearing its end.  We have now arrived at the season of completion, the summing up of all things in Christ. God’s Presence is about to mark the last milestone of the journey of His-story as He moves to fulfill His purposes!  The procession of the King, up to the seat of His Throne in Jerusalem is gaining momentum!  This is fiercely contested by the power of darkness as they know their time is short!  The Body of Christ must carefully watch the Ark of the Presence as we have not walked this way before (Josh. 3:4).  The Lord of all the earth is setting out and releasing the Armies of God to go forth with Him in power and in strength of His might to complete His purposes on earth! The Kingdom of heaven is coming down!
