OUR ‘DUE’ SEASON – A Job Breakthrough into the Double is Coming!

God’s intentions for His people are always Glory and Blessing. However, He has a process to get us there. God has an appointed time to get us to our kairos season of breakthrough into Glory! The process to get there may involve some suffering, some refining of our character in His fire of Love! Scripture makes it clear that this is God’s blueprint for conformity to Christ.

I sensed the Lord say that the Body of Christ has arrived at such a time! The Saints are about to have a Job breakthrough into the double. God declared from the beginning that Job was a righteous man.

This book begins with a peculiar discourse between God and Satan. However, Jobs’ experience with Satan was not about God playing the devil’s game. God loved Job and He knew, that as much as Job knew of Him. cognizant of Him, he needed a greater revelation and understanding of the magnitude and scale of His Omniscience and Omnipotence as Creator God.

Job thought that he knew God, but he didn’t! More importantly, God knew that he didn’t, and God wanted to bless Job beyond his wildest dreams. Believers can easily fall into the trap of familiarity with God. And even though God is our friend, he’s not a friend in the sense that the world understands friendship. We are friends with a God who is altogether Holy and fearsome, whose breath alone could incinerate us in a second. Job didn’t have comprehension of this God.

It has been said that familiarity breeds contempt. This is possible even with God. Job’s wife is a reflection of this truth! Because of all their troubles, she encouraged Job to curse God and die! This is easy to do for some when things fall apart, and God doesn’t answer our prayers the way that we think He should—we get offended and angry with our Friend. This is a very dangerous place to find ourselves in. As Jesus said to John the Baptist, “Blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (Matt. 11:6)

God didn’t answer Job’s questioning of His ways or lower Himself to Job’s level of understanding. Rather, He spent four long chapters illuminating the scope of His power and deity, and His transcendent ability as Creator God, far beyond Job’s level of understanding. Job crumbled under the weight of these revelations of the Glories of God, and all he could do was cry out for mercy!

“I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. Listen, please, and let me speak; You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’ “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42: 2-6

God then moved on Job’s behalf to put everything into His Kingdom order. He rebuked Job’s friends and directed them to offer sacrifices and instructed Job to forgive and to pray for these friends who were judging him unfairly. This is God’s way! He does not bow to us; we bow to Him. These are things God is saying to us now and we need to heed the warnings. If we are obedient to follow Him and His ways, we receive the double portion blessing and fullness of destiny.

Unfortunately, if we don’t, we put ourselves in a place of agreement with the enemy—a place where he can steal and rob our peace and the destiny God has planned for us if we had just humbled ourselves, waited, submitted, and trusted in His goodness!

Like Job, and all those God fashions to serve Him and the Kingdom, Peter also had to learn this same lesson before God could use him to become one of the pillars in the rebuilding of His house.

“ And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for youthat he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Luke 22:31-32

Here we see the same process Job went through. Satan asked for Peter just as he asked for Job. 1 Peter 5:6-8 shows that Peter learned the higher ways of God’s process.

“…GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in DUE time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour1Peter 5:6-8

We are in the hour of our DUE SEASON—the finishing and the commissioning. What does ‘due’ time mean? Some definitions of the word due: The baby is due. Expecting Something to happen. An exact point or location. Something expected or planned. Of the right quality. For a certain time. Synonyms: expected, outstanding, overdue, scheduled. Expected to happen at a set time. I believe God is saying this is such a time!

After the process of being made wholly consecrated, God then commissioned Peter to fulfill the destiny prepared for him from before time.

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.” John 21:17

At the finishing and commissioning of Peter and His disciples into their apostolic Call, Jesus demonstrated His power by releasing a great haul of fish when the disciples were unable to catch anything. This was a timely demonstration to Peter that He cared for him; that with Him nothing was impossible; that His ways are so much higher and the time for the fulfillment of destiny had arrived.

This miracle was ordered and designed to show the nature, scope, and possibilities of moving in Spiritual power in Christ, to bring in a great harvest, and that God had the strategy for success and victory.”

“And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.” John 21:6

Now is not the time to compromise with our faith, or to be offended with God in the hour of release. It is the time to purify our hearts and be ready and positioned for the outpouring of Glory!

We are in the month of Elul when as it is said, the king is in the field—He is more accessible. Moses went up the mountain to meet with God on the 1st of Elul to the 10th day of Tishri—the Day of Atonement. 40 days.

I believe this particular Elul 2023 is extremely significant as the King intends to meet with us over these 40 days to release strategic plans and blueprints for the days ahead. It is a time to let go of the old and embrace the new dynamic for the future.
